This year, Robin Shenfield, co-founder and CEO of The Mill, was named Chairperson of the 2018 AICP Awards, the annual event, which include the AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial and the AICP Next Awards, honors marketing communications in the motion image, and premieres in New York City each June before touring cultural and educational institutions around the country.

As part of The Mill's partnership with AICP, the New York Design and Emerging Technology teams broke the boundaries of traditional motion graphics and design by developing custom software that generated the 2018 Title Sequence live.

"The titles for the AICP Award shows have always been special and reflect the state of the art in motion design", noted Matt Miller, President and CEO of AICP. "Having The Mill on board this year to bring to life this creative marriage of human ingenuity and computing power delivers unique breakthrough sequences. This is the forefront of possibility for the industry and is truly what's Next."

The sequence debuted live at the AICP Next Awards (June 12th) and the premiere of the AICP Show: The Art & Technique of the American Commercial at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) (June 14th).
