2017’s installment of The VFX Festival took place last week at its new home in East London.

The annual 3-day VFX Festival kicked off last week at London’s Rich Mix in Shoreditch. Run by Escape Studios, the festival celebrates the world of visual effects, with a host of showcase screenings, presentations and industry panel debates.

The event was supported by a host of the London studio's team taking part in a list of events , including Mill Joint Heads of 3D Mike Chapman giving a Behind The Scenes look at the Making of Heathrow’s ‘Coming Home For Christmas’ and Rob Holmes joining this year’s ‘Industry Panel'.

Mill Talent Manager Henry Bull joined the ‘Annual Careers Panel’, while Mill Creative Director Adam Grint spoke on all things Emerging Tech on the ‘Innovation in Tech Panel’. As well as this, The Mill’s Group Head of Learning and Development, Simon Devereux, took to the stage to take part in the ‘Diversity Panel’.

The latest and greatest Emerging Tech work was showcased on the Mill Experience On The Road stand in The Tech Hub, demoing spots such as The Guardian’s brand new VR App, Reeps One’s ‘Does Not Exist’ and the award-winning 6x9 - A Virtual Experience of Solitary Confinement’.
