The Mill collaborated with RPA and Directors Dom & Nic of Station Films to create ‘The Bird’, part of Honda’s ‘Honda Knows’ campaign. The spot follows a father and son’s drive turned adventure after an unusual encounter.
Artists at The Mill used innovative techniques to bring the spot to life. In order to perfect the transition and background scenes, the VFX & Design team gathered 3D data to recreate the surrounding environment. The photo-real birds were skilfully crafted down to the very last feather with the use of CG and on set lighting. By adding bright colour and soft lighting, The Mill’s Colour team sets delightful tone and provides a realistic feel to the video.
