The light hearted commercial was created by Innocean Worlwide UK and enhanced with a grade by Mill colourist Seamus O'Kane, who worked with Joanna to capture the playful nature of the ad.
Seamus comments, "The success of this spot lies in its honesty and simplicity. Normal people fizzing with joy and enthusiasm for driving and their Kia cars.
Joanna manages to extract performance that is engaging and fun and we sought to echo this and create a colour palette that was both memorable and visually compelling.
Aided by subtle wardrobe and locations, we allowed colour and texture to frame the characters in order to highlight faces and expressions.
The photography of Ben Smithard had already imbued the footage with a wonderful sense of portraiture and that allowed the grade to shine through the enthused faces of the characters as they speak. A wonderful collaboration to be involved with."
