We helped create the powerful film which features James telling the story of his accident and emphasizing the importance of wearing a crash helmet by describing the nature of his injuries as x-ray style images show the internal damage done to his head and skull.
The film's main aim was to show the fragility of the human body especially the head and how wearing a helmet really can save your life. To create the look our 3D team modelled a CG brain, skull and veins to fit perfectly into James' head. Richard de Carteret, our Lead Flame artist also experimented with numerous techniques on this project, and worked closely with director Chino Moya and AMV's creatives, Phil Martin and Brian Campbell, to create a look which was disturbing but not unnecessarily gruesome.
Makes you think twice about going from a ride without a helmet...
