Working alongside BBH and Director Ben Liam Jones of StrangeLove, The Mill helped to create this enchanting new spot for Tesco’s ‘Food Love Stories’ as part of their 2017 Halloween campaign.
The advert showcases a family of vampires living a very 'human' existence with a few comedic highlights, including moments a moment when the mother vampire subtly hovers up to the cupboard to get out an ingredient.
The Mill’s VFX team worked to achieve this particular shot, by mattepainting out any signs of the harness used to elevate the actress up to ensure a seamless finish was achieved and allow the wholesome nature of the spot shine through.
The resulting is a film in keeping with Tesco's previous ‘Love Stories’ spots, whilst also offering a fresh and novel twist on the Halloween genre.
The Mill’s 2D Artist Sal Wilson explains, ‘the Tesco Food Love Stories campaign has always been a joy to work on and their final film for Halloween is no exception. The creatives give clear concise briefs, with a couple of more challenging shots thrown into the mix, they are always a job I look forward to working on.’
