Mill Head Colourist Seamus O'Kane explains, 'Simon Rattigan directed this piece to preserve naturalism. These real fans, at real games, are photographed in natural lighting at different times of day and evening. We therefore followed this ideal with the colour process and used very simple palette shifting controls to create the sense of observation without contrivance.
Using the idea of National colours, we used very subtle changes to emphasise tones that would link the fans to their countries and allow the banter to be more pertinent. Above all, we sought to keep a richness and depth to the image that would flatter the subjects and preserve a cinematic quality that is deserving such a prestigious sporting event.'
