Director Henry Hobson worked with Adam Scott, Head of Colour at The Mill’s Los Angeles studio, to set a cool, grim palette for Maggie (2015) starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abigail Breslin.
The haunting, action-packed thriller tells the story of a father (Schwarzenegger) who’ll do everything within his power to save his daughter (Breslin) after she becomes infected during a nationwide zombie outbreak. Using dark, dramatic contrast, Adam’s gritty colour grade simultaneously accentuates tense nature of the post-apocalyptic setting and the personal torment that plagues the family.
Following a host of indie films graded in-house, including Maggie, The Mill has broadened its colour offering to include creative Digital Intermediate (DI) work for feature length projects.
