The ad aims to ‘reinvent giving’ through the story of two brothers one of whom is a musician, Zac and the other, Rich, who is deaf.
Feeling distanced from his brother’s world of live gigs and vibrant sound, Rich grows to become frustrated. Seeing this in his brother causes Zac to to act, heading on a mission to create the most incredible gift using his HP Spectre x 360.
Zac manages to create a colourful, multi-sensory experience that enables Rich to feel music in a revolutionary way.
The Mill’s 2D Lead, Dan Williams, explains, 'It was a pleasure to work on this touching project, beautifully shot by the amazing Seb Edwards. Everyone involved with the project from the creatives to the producers were really passionate and the end result is brilliant.
Our main task was to seamlessly composite screen captures of two specialist bits of software, Lightjams and Pro Tools which were used to enhance the heroic scene where Rich uses the guitar, laptop and software for the first time.’
Mill Head Colorist at the New York office, Fergus McCall graded the piece.
