Nestle launched their new product, the 'Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cup', from the comfort of a couple's therapy sofa this Super Bowl in 'Relationship Rehab'.
Dailey brought us Mr. Peanut Butter and Ms. Chocolate and threw in the Butterfinger guy (clad in a very shiny, very yellow shell suit) in the cheeky introduction to their new offering, directed by Biscuit Filmworks' Clay Weiner.

The Mill's Josh Hatton, 3D lead artist, and team were responsible for the CG sequence showcasing the mixture of ingredients making up the new product.
Josh explains "Dailey presented us with a mockup of what they had in mind before the shoot, which was a simple swirl of chocolate and peanut butter and Butterfinger candy crumbles, to which we were able to add some creative input. To achieve this in CG was a complicated simulation exercise."
"Every component of the recipe was dynamic (including RBDs, particles, and fluid simulations), and dependent on each other. If one changed, it affected all the others."
He adds: "Inspired by beautiful food cinematography, we wanted a very macro, small-scale camera shooting format. The speed of that style of food filming is usually a high frame-rate with a shallow depth of field, as well as being drawn out to highlight the beauty of the product. Our sequence was only about six seconds that meant we had to stray slightly from this languid cinematic approach. It worked well with the fast-paced edit and cheeky, brisk nature of dialogue."
