Director Michael Kuhn from Greenpoint Pictures was able to film the warmth and essence of Carrie Underwood while she talked to three teenage girls about the invaluable lessons they have learned from sports and how it empowers women in her hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma.
The Mill's Head of Beauty, Burtis Scott also provided a helping hand in the spot while making sure the footage of Carrie Underwood didn't appear "unrealistic or overly made-up' on camera.
Burtis explains "With the most recent campaign for 'Calia,' the footage of Carrie shows her in natural environments wearing very little makeup. She’s talking and reacting with young women in her home town so all retouching I did had to work perfectly with the cutting back and forth between Carrie and those girls whom I did not affect."
