The ad sees the football star running through a variety of different settings as the seasons change behind him, starting with Summer, moving through to Autumn and Winter, portraying the anticipation of the exciting season of Premier League football ahead.
Beckham is shown jogging past a window whilst a family are watching a game peering through the window to catch a goal, then much to their surprise he bursts into cheer, he is then seen running into a busy pub where he finds himself being picked up and shaken by a large burly, celebrating fan.
Mill Executive Producer Misha Stanford-Harris explains, 'This project was an incredible production challenge all round where we had to show an entire Premier League season in 60secs, with David Beckham running around the whole country in the process, covering all the weather conditions that throws at you.
The availability of Beckham was the main issue from a VFX perspective as not having him in all the locations was tricky. The Director of Photography, Alex Barber, did a fantastic job of matching the lighting of the greyscreen shots so that they matched our location backplates.
Hitesh Patel, our VFX Supervisor on set, ensured the angles and camera moves all matched between the two plates. Through subtle use of grading with colourist James Bamford, we enhanced the seasons to help tell the story. Snow was added practically and enhanced in CG. It all fitted together seamlessly with a lot of work from our 2D team lead by Gary Driver.’
