The spot sees model and actress, Clara Paget waiting at a the bar of the Hotel Café Royal, sharing her woes over the mysterious Mr Burberry with the man behind the bar. She expresses that she thinks he probably won’t turn up and is, as her friends have said, no good for her, but, upon receiving a phone call from Mr Burberry , she succumbs to his request at meeting in his hotel room, thus proving the evocative pull of the man behind the aftershave.
Mill Colourist, Seamus O’Kane comments, “Continuing in this cinematic style, the film allows one to focus on the dialogue of the phone conversation as the reminiscence concerning Mr Burberry unfolds.
Sarah allows the camera to frame and drift with a natural awareness of the light and the location becomes an elegant counter to the slightly overawed character as she recounts her evening of romance. The lighting and editing allowed the grade settings to be gentle and unobtrusive making this feel a truly in-camera crafted piece.’
