The spot, featuring the now iconic young girl from the first ‘Most Shocking Second A Day’ film in 2014, forces the viewer to imagine someone close to them, in a Western country, facing the hardships of a child refugee by presenting them with a young British girl and the country in turmoil. Helping to unpick the real experiences of refugees, the film presents the grim reality of civil conflict overseas.
Mill Colourist, Oisin O’Driscoll comments; “The spot is extremely hard hitting, telling the story through the eyes of a child who has been displaced from her home. I worked with the director to achieve a gritty almost bleach bypass look, it is a very stylised look but works so well in the story and adds to the danger clearly present in the imagery."
