The promo, set across a river bank and a river side factory, portrays the story of a love triangle, beginning with a man and a woman who are touching passionately, before the scene shifts to the same man repeating this behaviour with equal passion but with another man. It soon becomes clear that he is in love with both partners. This story plays out in muted tones with the brightly coloured, contemporary hats maintaining the focus of the spot.
Mill Colourist, Oisin O’Driscoll, explains how this was achieved in the grade, 'The main area of focus of this job was on the outdoor scenes which, when the footage first arrived, presented bright and luscious green trees which took away from the colourful hats being the focus of the promo. To better suit the subject, we worked to create an autumnal feel in all the external scenes and linked this in with a warm interior. This way, the colour and variety of the hats were able to come through.'
