The ad opens with a man taking us through his family history and fond memories of foraging and who better to narrate this nostalgic spot than Maille’s consultant and restaurant owner, Bruno Loubet. Bruno gives us an insight into his ‘memorable’ childhood and passion for cooking, plus a few chef secrets he’s acquired throughout his successful career.
The Mill’s Colourist Jim Bracher comments, “This was all about evoking the freshness of country air, a walk in the forest, and a spot of al fresco cooking as the sun goes down. We kept the contrast fairly light and hues as natural as possible, and added some film grain, which along with the style of photography gives a hint of the feel of a hand held super 16 in some places. I think this suits the narrative nicely."
