The Mill, in collaboration with Saatchi & Saatchi and Director Sam Brown out of Rogue Films, created this spot for Visa Apple Pay.
The spot aims to highlight the ease and rapidity with which one can make a transaction using the contactless payment method Visa Apple Pay, which launched in the United Kingdom in July this year. Using the brand’s catchphrase “Always ready, always on”, the film revolves around the central theme of anticipation – showing the build up to, and fractional pause, before action in various scenarios.
Lead 2D Artist Wes describes The Mill’s role in realising the spot, “We built the stadium in the drag-racing spot entirely in CG, filling it with cheering crowds. We also carefully re-created an in-camera shot of the chameleon in order to show it catching and eating its prey in the later shot.”
