The ad, created by BBH, demonstrate’s the brand's tag line ‘refreshing Wimbledon’s legends since 1935’, with a series of shots showing Robinson’s squash sitting under an umpire’s chair from 1935 to present day.
The Mill’s VFX team led by John Thornton enhanced each shot to give the impression of stock footage used from old Robinson’s commercials. The team utilised a number of techniques including adding film grain to give the footage a hand-cranked look, running the shots through a VHS player and re-importing them to soften the images, and adding in additional crowd members in 2D.
