In collaboration with Vice UK, directing collective D.A.R.Y.L created a series of short films sponsored by Bose, documenting the rise in underground music scenes in unexpected countries around the world.
In this film, 'Dancehall in Japan', we see how the dancehall craze is sweeping through groups of Japanese teenagers, who use the genre as a chance to forget about their insecurities and express themselves, despite the initial lack of understanding and clash of Jamaican and Japanese cultures on might perceive.
Each spot was finessed in the grading suite by Mill colourist James Bamford.
