Just in time for Super Bowl Sunday, the biggest stage of the year, a Thanksgiving Day Parade is treated to the coke side of life when an aerial skirmish takes place with giant inflatable cartoon characters vying for a bottle of Coca-Cola in the 60-second brand commercial, 'It’s Mine'.

Renowned for working with big scenes and ideas, award-winning director Nicolai Fuglsig opens 'It's Mine' with a bird's-eye view of Central Park in New York before zooming off into the aerial spaces between the skyscrapers of Manhattan. Here, a buoyant struggle plays out between Stewie (The Family Guy) and classic superhero Underdog as they hover and tumble through the tall cityscape in pursuit of an enormous inflatable in the shape of a Coco-Cola bottle.
From the outset, Mill Creative Director Angus Kneale and Senior 3D artist Ben Smith worked closely with Nicolai and the agency producer and creatives. "It was a great project for our talented team," says Angus. "We were given a lot of creative freedom and control." The full-scale parade balloons initially made of the cartoon characters were superseded when the CGI worked so well everyone was keen to switch to using CGI for all the balloons. A remarkable project, 'It's Mine' exemplifies the creative synergy of the three principal departments at The Mill.
