In Albion's first television advertising campaign for Wonga.com, Hungryman's director Roderick Fenske has created two highly comical spots featuring the straight-talking seniors, Betty, Earl and Joyce, who appear very 'street' with Earl's DJ'ing skills, supper reflexes and internet know-how. Fenske who is known for his well-disguised punch line and performance based humour directed the team perfectly with his vision of comedy.
As the campaign's stars were puppets, the spots required VFX Producer Chris Batten to pull a few strings, he explains, "With every shot requiring post work these puppets needed a lot of care and attention to make sure they looked as effective as Director Roderick Fenske and Albion imagined. With a small army of The Mill's roto artists, along with a lot of patience from our Flame artists, the puppets' rigs and wires were painted out to leave our heroes seemingly with a life of their own."
