The Mill worked on both spots with Swedish collective, ACNE, who have directed some of the industry's whackiest brand representations. This is not the first success The Mill has had with Vault. In 2006, they worked on other spots when Coca-Cola launched the drink with a campaign that aired during Super Bowl XL.

In 'Pearl', a man on a tropical beach trembles to see a Casanova offering his girlfriend a pearl from the sea. One sip of the energy drink Vault and the boyfriend is ready to oust his muscular rival. By exploding the sea floor he showers his sweetheart with more pearls than she can stand up in. Lead Flame artist Westley Sarokin and the CG team at The Mill worked up the explosion, including creating a primarily CG water blast. Prior to fashioning the plume and spray, PeterHamilton studied the unique characteristics of exploding water. Westley, using practical elements from the shoot, blended the base of the blast with Peter's complex simulation, and together with CG artist Kevin Ives created a hazy underwater world.
