In this spot we see our slick protagonist cheerfully driving down a coastal road in an old truck with a cargo of chickens. He drives up alongside a rich older man and his trophy girlfriend in their sports car but as they enter a series of tunnels, several swaps ensue - the young girlfriend appearing in his truck, then our young man and the young lady in the sports car and a final swap by our hero with the girl for the chickens, which he later trades in to buy himself a refreshingly smooth pint of Stella.
Lead 2D, Barnsley explains the main challenges of the ad: "Our work on the spot took two main forms: Firstly, to help give the film a late 50s / early 60s feel, we looked at numerous examples of back projections as seen in classic films and TV serials of the period; and secondly, our chickens, although very professional, often 'forgot' to perform on cue so their preferred action was selected at the edit stage and combined in post. This 'helped' them react to each situation in time with their human co-stars. Finally we decided to degrade the footage to help create a stylised 50s/60s look."
