All of the idents were animated and comped using After Effects, with the team aiming for a more traditional style of animation without having to use any 3D packages. The leaf was the only element created in Cinema 4D in order to incorporate a more natural movement into the animation.
Lead art director Tom Wansborough Jones tells us more about how he brought the idents to life, "We tried to keep all of the design elements as simple as possible and really use the style of animation to bring out the character for each spot. Our main task here was to make sure each ident conveyed a sense of fun, playfulness and humour to the audience. This also applied to the way in which we brought in the logo in the final 3 seconds of each spot. Rather than do a simple fade on or cut, we used the narrative of the animation to help us reveal the Rightmove logo and 'call to action'."
