In 'Payback Time', Director Jan Wentz takes us on a comic caper filled adventure playing with the typical cliches associated with being 'Dutch'. Or at least from the perspective of someone in Germany. A clog wearing, cheese, tulips and football loving Dutchman wanders though a colourful nostalgic circus-esque set complete with knife thrower, half naked acrobat, and a man on fire.
James said "It was great working with Jan. He had a really clear understanding of where he wanted to take the spot from a colour grading perspective. The idea was to be filmic with a cross processed feel, whilst maintaining a strong contrast between certain colours to make it a really distinctive grade. The Mill and NHB can now do remote grading with NHB's studios in Berlin, Hamburg and Dusseldorf and this project is a great example of how this allows us to have great creative results and gives a much more hands on approach to our overseas clients and directors."
