The Mill and Wieden+Kennedy Portland continue their hilariously kooky campaigns for Old Spice in 'Soccer', part of a series of spots directed by Tom Kuntz of MJZ.
Creative director Tim Davies led his team in creating the unexpected ladies' man(droid). Using a real robot by Legacy Effects, the Mandroid was filmed in his environment with all interactions in-camera, making for a seamless end result.

Davies elaborates: "The robot was rigged to enable him to move his arms and walk, whilst his eye movements, eyebrows and mouth were remote controlled. His voice was pre-programmed so that his lips could move in-sync with what he was saying. With all this great live-action footage, we tightened up his performance and made adjustments to his facial expressions and lip-sync to bring out more of his character."
