Refereed by Rio Ferdinand we watch as Wayne Rooney, Joe Cole and Fernando Torres take on the kids in an urban caged pitch in Manchester for a nail-biting match. Set to The View's song, Wasteland, the ad features a combination of live action, CCTV and mobile phone footage.
We graded the spot taking it from a warm, summery look to a colder, grittier grade - enhancing the outdoor, night time setting. Lead Flame Jay Bandlish worked closely with the W+K creatives and Walter Stern to give specific looks to the many different formats. Jay said: "The director had a clear vision of creating a spot that had different textures for each of the different types of shot so by giving subtle enhancers to the footage we created a rough and ready feel that complemented the ad's urban theme. We also played around with timings to give the CCTV footage degradation and tweaked the animation of the titles to give it life."
