Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and the rest of the Today Show gang took to the streets of New York City to film '#RisetoShine,' a promo for Super Bowl XLIX. NBC worked with The Mill and director Mat Whitestone to create this upbeat spot.
Inspired by the Coldplay music video 'Sky Full of Stars,' also directed by Mat, the crew invited avid Today Show fans to the plaza for the film shoot.

Requests for autographs were overtaken by the more modern request for a selfie.
The overall look of these festivities was set by Mill colorist Fergus McCall, who took the footage shot over the course of the day, created a flow and added a warm morning light.See how the group's spontaneity on the plaza was captured in this behind the scenes look with the Today Show cast.
