Natalie Portman defies her father to keep her Miss status in this new spot for Miss Dior, directed by Anton Corbjin at Black Label.
The spot features Natalie as a bride to be, however the walk down the aisle provides some much needed reflection time, and leads her to flee with her supposed true love into the sunset. The black and white footage is interspersed with colour shots that show her life free'd from that weight on her shoulders of having to marry someone that her heart has told her not to.
The Mill was thrilled to work on bringing this project to life, with colourist Seamus O'Kane saying, "Anton has such a strong visual dynamic that working with him to produce this spot was wonderfully invigorating.
Using two palettes of opposition to define possible outcomes and narrative meant that we could bring any given scene into either, and that, for a Colourist, is a fantastic exercise in technique and style.
Doing this with shots of such cinematic scope, featuring an A-List Actress in such beautiful locations and for such a prestigious and evocative product only made it more enjoyable. The sheer sense of glamour and possibility that results is both visually arresting and emotionally uplifting and makes this an outstanding spot to have been involved with."
