The experiment showcases the fascinating effects of Lush's fresh products and ingredients in action: exploding bath bombs; morphing liquids; swirling product components and compounds; surfaces colour bombed by lustres (PET free). The subsequent stunning imagery is choreographed by the specially composed orchestral score, 'Wings At Their Feet'.
The film was co-directed by FILFURY, Tim Spence and the creative team at Lush Digital. Both FILFURY and Tim have very different backgrounds and approach, FILFURY with very graphic and design focused, Tim with a rich history of cinematography and film experience. So a perfect mix for the brief.
High-speed macro photography captured products from Lush as they were released in air or mixed with water to produce fascinating forms and shapes.
Mill producer Alex Finch comments, "Lush Digital's vision allowed us the freedom to create something very unique and different with them. The key to our approach and desire was to keep the work honest and real. The project really got us excited from the start. A very graphic and textural execution that was captured in an analogue way, which was a nice break for us at The Mill.
Everything we shot and you see in the film is an actual Lush product or ingredient, no tricks or replacements, that was the beauty of it. These products are already beautiful and it was our job to allow them to perform and dance for us."
