The annual VFX Festival kicked off again in London today, with a three day event held in the O2.

The festival, run by Escape Studios, celebrates the world of visual effects, with a host of showcase screenings, presentations and industry panel debates.

This years theme will bring to life the convergence of technologies to produce the next big thing, how the big players in the industry are responding to the rise of VR, AR and other media sharing tech and how this will inform the skillset required for the next generation of VFX practitioners.

The Mill’s CG Lead Dan Moller will be giving a behind the scenes look at the making of the award winning 100% CG spot Audi ‘Birth’, Talent Co-Ordinator Henry Bull will join a talent panel, Creative Director Adam Grint will talk VR on an interactive panel, and to end the festival The Mill’s London MD Darren O'Kelly will be taking to the stage to take part in the industry panel debate.

The Mill will also showcase their latest interactive capabilities on a stand for visitors to experience Google ATAP ‘Help’ and the Garage Magazine app.
