Continuing our longstanding partnership with the UK Music Video Awards, The Mill London were proud to host the highly anticipated shortlist nominations evening on September 27th. With an impressive turnout of young directors and industry professionals, it was an enjoyable evening for all including the lucky few who scored a nomination from over 1800 videos submitted.

Launching in 2008, this is the tenth year running of the UKMVAs, which has now grown to an international standing. Primarily honouring the creativity behind the artform, the awards celebrate the very best in music videos made in the last 12 months.

This year, The Mill London are thrilled to announce that Mill+ have been nominated for Best Urban Video Award for Jorja Smith’s ‘Blue Lights’ directed by Olivia Rose. Further to the nomination, The Mill sends out a huge congratulations to our collaborators who also picked up a nomination including Somesuch and CC.Wade with King Krule ‘Biscuit Town’, Nial Obrien and Academy Films with Solomon Grey ‘Wonderful World’ and Shaun James Grant and Haus Pictures with Jorja Smith ‘February 3rd’.  

In addition to hosting the awards, The Mill are delighted to have collaborated with the UKMVAs in creating their iconic brand visuals. Featuring heavily across web and social, these idents have created a strong brand presence for the tenth year of UKMVAs, with further idents being rolled out in the coming weeks.
