We partnered with Facebook and Warner Brothers to create to high-quality facial-tracking AR masks for the Facebook Camera platform in support of the upcoming film, Justice League.

Using Warner Brothers’ assets and working in close collaboration with the Facebook engineering team, VFX artists, led by Greg Gangemi and Tetsuro Mise, crafted and animated a series of masks, suits and weapons, complete with FX, to take users into a new augmented reality dimension.

Available via the camera in the Facebook app, the masks track the user's face and allows them to create short snippets as their favorite superheroes from the new Justice League movie: Aquaman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Cyborg and Batman.

You can try them yourself by opening the Facebook camera and tapping the magic wand icon to open the camera effects. Select the “mask” category to view available augmented reality masks. Raising your eyebrows in any of these camera effects will trigger the character’s special traits, showcasing the immersion and interactivity enabled by AR Studio.
