Last night saw The Mill’s London studio host ADCAN’s ‘How To Make Your Mark In The Industry Panel’ and drinks event in collaboration with the APA.

The Mill’s ongoing and global support of ADCAN sees them as official partners of this year’s Awards, hosting events across both the London and LA studios in the lead up to the October ceremony.

Over 100 people from across industry joined to hear last night's panel, chaired by LBBOL Co-Editor Alex Reeve, discuss the most impactful ways to make your mark in the world of film and advertising.

With a stellar line up of names from across the creative industry, including; Director Poppy de Villeneuve of Partizan, Director Nicolas Menard of Nexus, Creative DIrector Franki Goodwin of Saatchi & Saatchi and Executive Producer and CBO at Western Edge Pictures, Director Austen Humphries of Rattling Stick, Creative Ezrael Alem of AMV and previous Director winner of ADCAN, and Production Chief Olivia Chalk of Grey London, the speakers shared in their best knowledge and experience with the packed-out room, telling of personal stories from their careers and how they themselves have helped to shape the filmmaking landscape.

In continuation of The Mill’s global support, the Beam Services team worked this year to develop the new ADCAN Awards Entry site, while The Mill’s LA office will play host to the official ADCAN Awards Ceremony later this year on October 19th, as well as the ADCAN Filmmaker and Animator Party next Thursday.

Entry is open until August 15th, allowing any unsigned and up-and-coming filmmakers to apply to one or more of the four briefs set this year.
